My One-Day Houseboat Stay in Vijayawada: A Krishna River Experience

Sometimes, the best getaway doesn't require travelling to another city. I discovered this during my one-day houseboat stay in Vijayawada at Bhavani Island. Instead of checking into a conventional hotel, I decided to spend my stay on the water.

The experience began with the journey from Punnami Ghat to the houseboat location at Bhavani Island. Even before reaching the boat, the short ride across the river made it feel different from an ordinary hotel stay.

Checking Into My Houseboat

My check-in time was 2:00 PM, giving me enough time to reach Bhavani Island and settle in comfortably. Instead of looking out at a busy road or city buildings, I was surrounded by the Krishna River.
