Simple Boat Club — Houseboat Online Booking

1. About These Terms

These Terms & Conditions apply when you make a houseboat booking through the Simple Boat Club website.

By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Simple Boat Club may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version published on the website at the time you make your booking will apply to that booking.

2. Who Can Book

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to make a booking.

The information you provide, including your name, mobile number, and email address, must be accurate and complete.

Bookings must be made for genuine personal stays. Making false, fraudulent, speculative, or duplicate bookings, or booking houseboats for commercial resale without prior written permission, is not permitted.

Simple Boat Club reserves the right to cancel bookings that appear to violate these Terms & Conditions.

3. Making a Booking

To make a booking, you will select the houseboat, date, duration, number of guests, and other available options and provide the required guest and contact information.

Your booking is confirmed once the required payment has been successfully processed and you receive a booking confirmation containing your booking reference.

Guests may be required to present a valid government-issued photo identification document at check-in, in accordance with applicable law and the houseboat operator's check-in requirements.

If the required identification cannot be produced at check-in, Simple Boat Club may refuse or delay boarding or check-in, subject to applicable law and the applicable houseboat policies.

4. Houseboat, Guests and Occupancy

The maximum number of guests permitted on each houseboat will be displayed during the booking process and/or in your booking confirmation.

Guests must not exceed the maximum occupancy specified for the booked houseboat.

Additional guests, where permitted, may be subject to additional charges and availability.

Any additional facilities, meals, extra beds, or services included with or available for the booking will be subject to the details displayed at the time of booking.

The boarding/check-in location, check-in time, check-out time, and other relevant instructions will be provided during the booking process or in your booking confirmation.

Guests are responsible for following all safety instructions provided by the houseboat staff.

5. Payment

Payment for online houseboat bookings may be made using the payment methods displayed on the Simple Boat Club website at the time of booking, such as cards, UPI, or net banking.

The booking will be confirmed only after successful payment authorization or confirmation, as applicable.

Applicable taxes and charges will be displayed during the booking process. Unless otherwise stated, applicable GST and other mandatory charges are included in the displayed price.

Payment methods available at the boarding location may differ from those available for online bookings.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your booking using the cancellation facility provided in your booking confirmation or by contacting Simple Boat Club.

The following cancellation charges apply:

Where a booking includes multiple houseboats or multiple services, partial cancellation may be permitted once, subject to the applicable cancellation rules.

Any services or portions of the booking already used are non-refundable.

Change of Dates

Confirmed houseboat bookings cannot be moved to different dates unless Simple Boat Club expressly agrees to the change.

If your plans change, you may cancel your existing booking in accordance with the cancellation policy and make a new booking, subject to availability and applicable rates.

7. Refunds

Approved refunds will normally be made to the original payment method.

For card, UPI, and other online payments, refunds will normally be processed within 5–10 working days after approval. The time taken for the refund to appear in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment service provider.

If your account has been debited but you have not received a booking confirmation, please contact Simple Boat Club and provide the transaction date, amount paid, and any transaction or payment reference available to you.

We will make reasonable efforts to verify the transaction and process any applicable refund.

8. If We Cannot Honour Your Booking

If Simple Boat Club is unable to provide the booked houseboat due to circumstances within our control, we will make reasonable efforts to provide a comparable alternative.

If a suitable alternative cannot be provided, an appropriate refund will be offered in accordance with the circumstances.

If weather, water conditions, government restrictions, safety concerns, technical problems, or other circumstances affect the operation of the houseboat, Simple Boat Club may modify, postpone, relocate, or cancel the trip where reasonably necessary for the safety of guests and crew.

Where a cancellation or modification is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, any refund or alternative arrangement will be handled in accordance with the applicable booking policy and circumstances.

9. Safety and Guest Responsibility

Houseboats operate in a water environment and guests must follow all safety instructions provided by the crew or operator.

Guests must:

• Follow all instructions given by the houseboat crew;
• Not exceed the maximum permitted occupancy;
• Not engage in unsafe or unlawful activities;
• Not interfere with navigation, safety equipment, or houseboat operations;
• Take reasonable care of the houseboat, its equipment, furniture, and facilities; and
• Ensure that children are supervised appropriately.

Guests may be responsible for the cost of repairing damage caused by their intentional or negligent acts, subject to applicable law.

Simple Boat Club reserves the right to refuse boarding or terminate a trip where a guest's conduct creates a safety risk to themselves, other guests, crew members, or the houseboat.

10. Our Responsibility

We take reasonable care to ensure that the information published on the Simple Boat Club website is accurate and up to date. However, we do not guarantee that all information will always be complete, accurate, or free from errors.

We may correct errors and update website content, houseboat availability, facilities, prices, schedules, or other information from time to time.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Simple Boat Club will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including loss of profits, business, or anticipated savings arising from the use of the website or services.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Simple Boat Club's total liability arising directly from a booking will not exceed the amount actually paid by you for that booking.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Force Majeure

Simple Boat Club will not be responsible for any delay, cancellation, interruption, or failure to perform its obligations caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include adverse weather, storms, floods, strong winds, high or low water levels, natural disasters, accidents, fire, strikes, power or network failures, government actions, restrictions imposed by authorities, waterway restrictions, technical or mechanical failures, or other unforeseen events affecting the safe operation of the houseboat.

Where necessary for safety or operational reasons, Simple Boat Club may delay, modify, relocate, shorten, or cancel a houseboat trip.

12. Third-Party Services

The Simple Boat Club website may contain links to third-party websites or services.

These websites and services are not controlled by Simple Boat Club, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices, or terms of use.

The inclusion of a third-party link does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by Simple Boat Club.

13. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate information when making a booking.

You are also responsible for complying with the applicable rules and instructions provided by Simple Boat Club and the houseboat operator during your trip.

You must not use the website for unlawful purposes, fraudulent activities, unauthorized commercial resale, or any activity that may interfere with the operation or security of the website.

You must not bring prohibited, dangerous, or unlawful items onto the houseboat.

Guests must comply with applicable laws and regulations during the trip.

14. Website Access

Simple Boat Club may temporarily suspend, restrict, modify, or withdraw access to the website or any part of its services for maintenance, security, technical reasons, or other legitimate business purposes.

We may also decline or cancel a booking where we reasonably believe that the booking is fraudulent, unauthorized, unlawful, or made in violation of these Terms & Conditions.

15. Intellectual Property and Website Content

All content available on the Simple Boat Club website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, designs, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Simple Boat Club unless otherwise stated.

You may access and use the website for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You must not copy, reproduce, modify, republish, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit website content without our prior written permission.

16. Privacy

Simple Boat Club respects your privacy.

We use the personal information you provide, including your name, mobile number, and email address, primarily to process and manage your enquiries and bookings, communicate with you regarding your houseboat trip, and comply with applicable legal requirements.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms & Conditions or your use of the Simple Boat Club website shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of [City, State, India], unless otherwise required by applicable law.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions, together with the applicable booking confirmation and the Simple Boat Club Privacy Policy, constitute the agreement between you and Simple Boat Club relating to your use of the online houseboat booking service, unless otherwise stated.
